OIC Condemns Ongoing Genocide, Urges Int’l Community to End Israeli Occupation’s Crimes

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned the continued systematic genocide committed by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip, as well as the ongoing aggression against cities, villages, and camps in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
These attacks have resulted in the martyrdom of 92 people and the injury of 219 others over the past 48 hours, bringing the total toll of the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, to 51,955 martyrs and 123,034 injured.
The OIC affirmed that the continuation of these crimes is a stain on the conscience of humanity and a blatant violation of international laws, conventions, resolutions, and human values. It called for an end to the aggression and for holding the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes.
The OIC reiterated its warning against the escalating incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist settler groups under the protection of Israeli occupation forces. It also affirmed that Al-Aqsa is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims and that occupied Jerusalem is the capital of the State of Palestine. Moreover, the OIC stressed the need to preserve the legal and historical status of the holy sites, particularly Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The OIC renewed its call on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities by compelling Israel, the occupying power, to halt all of its crimes comprehensively and to ensure the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
