Scout Girls Participate in Childcare Services at Grand Mosque through Children’s Hospitality Center
Scout girls participating in the Public Service Camp in Makkah for the Ramadan 1447 AH season, organized and supervised by the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association, are providing childcare and hospitality services at the Children’s Hospitality Center inside the Grand Mosque. The initiative is carried out in cooperation with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque as part of volunteer efforts to enhance services for Umrah performers during Ramadan.
The Children’s Hospitality Centers offer educational and recreational care services for the children of visitors and Umrah performers. The centers receive girls aged three to nine years and boys aged three to six years in a safe and well-prepared environment. Facilities include educational corners, recreational activities, and meals suited to children’s age groups, helping create a comfortable environment for children and their families during the performance of rituals.
Fifteen female scout leaders and scout girls support the center’s daily operations. They assist teachers in supervising children, help with reception and organizational tasks, and introduce the service to visitors by guiding parents on how to benefit from the center.
The scout girls and leaders also facilitate registration by providing parents with a QR code and explaining the process, which helps speed up access to the service. The center receives around 60 children daily during the scouts’ shift.
