Industry Minister Visits Advanced Early Warning Center at General Food Security Authority
Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef visited the headquarters of the General Food Security Authority (GFSA) and its advanced early warning center today.
During a meeting with GFSA President Eng. Ahmad Al-Fares, the minister discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the industrial ecosystem and the authority in support of Saudi Arabia's food-security objectives.
Alkhorayef reviewed the center's operating mechanisms and its role in monitoring and analyzing food-supply-chain indicators. He also reviewed its capabilities for responding early to local and global developments.
The visit included a presentation on the advanced technologies and systems used by the center to support decision-making, improve preparedness, and strengthen the sustainability of food security in the Kingdom.
The minister praised the technological and operational advancements at the center and emphasized its important role in supporting the food-security ecosystem and enhancing the Kingdom's ability to address future challenges efficiently and effectively.
