The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve Development Authority reaffirmed its commitment to environmental protection and ecosystem restoration, coinciding with World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, observed annually on June 17.

As part of its environmental initiatives, the authority has rehabilitated more than 38,780 hectares of natural areas, planted nearly one million seedlings of native species, and documented 235 plant species within the reserve.

The authority operates 10 environmental monitoring stations providing scientific data to support natural resource management, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030's environmental sustainability objectives.
