KSrelief Launches Economic Empowerment Project for Vulnerable Groups and Persons with Disabilities in Gaza Strip

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) yesterday launched an economic empowerment project for the most vulnerable groups and persons with disabilities in the Gaza Strip in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza.

The launch ceremony was attended by representatives of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), as well as several local and international organizations. The project is being implemented as part of the Saudi campaign to provide relief to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

In its first phase, the project aims to train more than 1,000 individuals from the most vulnerable groups and persons with disabilities through specialized training programs totaling approximately 130 training hours across eight vocational and digital tracks. Upon completion, beneficiaries will receive a diploma certificate and a specialized professional toolkit to help them enter the labor market, enhance their economic opportunities, and secure sustainable sources of income.

The project is an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, to support economic recovery and build the capacities of young men and women in the Gaza Strip.
