Farasan Islands Revitalize Mangrove Beach with Kayaking Experience
Kayaking has emerged as a premier attraction at Al-Hareed Festival in the Farasan Islands, offering visitors a unique blend of adventure and nature.
The activity is centered at Mangrove Beach, a revitalized site known for its tranquil waterways and dense mangrove and tamarisk forests. These natural channels provide an ideal environment for exploration, taking paddlers deep into a captivating and serene marine landscape.
The initiative to develop the site was driven by local investment aimed at transforming the beach into a safe, world-class tourist destination. Managed under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport and the Saudi Canoe and Kayak Federation, the site ensures high safety standards, including the presence of certified lifeguards. The rowing route spans a 2,400-meter round trip, typically taking 45 to 60 minutes to complete.
Available in both single and double configurations, the kayaks allow visitors to interact directly with the environment without the disturbance of noise.
This eco-friendly experience highlights the Farasan Islands' potential as a major hub for sustainable marine tourism, blending physical activity with the tranquil beauty of the Red Sea’s coastal vegetation.
