Al-Baha University Wins International AI in Education Award in Hong Kong
Al-Baha University has achieved a new international milestone after its innovative research team from the College of Nursing won the Overall Performance Award in the final round of the Second International Competition on Artificial Intelligence in Education 2026, hosted by The Education University of Hong Kong in collaboration with several academic and technology organizations in Hong Kong.
The award-winning research team was led by Dean of the College of Nursing Dr. Wael Al-Ghamdi. The team received the award for its innovative project titled "A Proactive AI Early Warning Agent for Health Colleges Students."
The project aims to harness artificial intelligence technologies to develop a proactive system for identifying early indicators that support students in health colleges, helping enhance educational outcomes and improve the efficiency of the academic process.
The achievement reflects Al-Baha University's growing presence in scientific research and innovation and demonstrates the ability of Saudi talent to compete on the international stage, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to promote innovation and the knowledge economy.
