Red Sea Museum in Historic Jeddah Presents Diverse October Cultural Program
The Red Sea Museum in Historic Jeddah presented a diverse cultural program in October, combining visual arts, architecture, cinema, workshops, and storytelling for visitors of all ages.
A panel discussion addressed the urban characteristics of Historic Jeddah, the relationship between architecture and both the environment and society, and the importance of preserving architectural and craft heritage.
In visual arts, the museum is hosting the Photographing Distance exhibition, running until December 31, 2026. It features photographic and visual works that explore lighthouses as symbols of guidance, passage, and memory.
The program also included the screening of the documentary The Salt of the Earth, a workshop on preparing focaccia with ingredients inspired by the Red Sea environment, and a storytelling session for children on the importance of libraries.
The Red Sea Museum, affiliated with the Museums Commission, continues to highlight the Red Sea's heritage through exhibitions, educational programs, and interactive experiences.
