Agricultural Terrace Initiative Boosts Food Security, Sustainability in Al-Baha

The agricultural terrace plowing initiative continues its vital work in Bani Hassan Governorate in Al-Baha Region, aiming to restore and optimize traditional farming structures while strengthening food security, improving the efficient use of natural resources, preserving local vegetation, and promoting sustainable rural development in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

 The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture underscored the critical importance of revitalizing and sustaining agricultural terraces, noting their significant positive impact on environmental preservation, natural resource development, and the expansion of green spaces.

 It also reiterated its commitment to collaborating with government bodies and local farmers to help them maximize the benefits of these terraces. This cooperation seeks to generate economic returns, improve farmers' livelihoods, and strengthen the Kingdom's food security.
