KSrelief Signs Joint Executive Program to Shelter Syrian Families Returning Home

Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah signed a joint executive program yesterday with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Barham Salih. The agreement aims to implement a project providing shelter for Syrian families returning to their country during the upcoming winter. The signing took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
 Under the program, 987 damaged homes will be rehabilitated to create safe, habitable living spaces. Additionally, 10,768 winter kits, containing high-thermal-insulation blankets, plastic sheeting (tarpaulins), and winter clothing and jackets, will be distributed to protect families from severe cold spells. These efforts will benefit 58,625 individuals, including those in need, female heads of households, widows, children, and the elderly, across the governorates of Aleppo, Rural Damascus (Reef Dimashq), Deir Ezzor, Idlib, and Homs.
 This agreement is part of the Kingdom’s efforts, via KSrelief, to enable Syrian families to return voluntarily to their homes and achieve stability, create a living environment that ensures a life of dignity and safety, and enhance the resilience of the most vulnerable groups.
