Azerbaijan, Arab Coordination Group Strengthen Development Partnership

President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan received a delegation of heads of Arab Coordination Group (ACG) member institutions, alongside Arab finance ministers participating in the 2026 Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group in Baku.
 Aliyev praised the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the ACG's member institutions, which is advancing several development projects.
 IsDB Group Chairman Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser expressed gratitude for the warm reception and conveyed the delegation's appreciation for Azerbaijan's support in strengthening cooperation with the ACG.
 The two sides reviewed ways to enhance the partnership and support joint development projects.
 Following the meeting, a loan agreement was signed for the construction of the new Sumgait wastewater treatment plant, and a memorandum of understanding was concluded to expand cooperation on water supply and sanitation systems for 33 residential settlements on the Absheron Peninsula.
