KFSH Supports National Blood Donation Campaign

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH) has joined the annual National Blood Donation Campaign launched by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, reinforcing efforts to encourage blood donation and help ensure patients have access to the blood they need.

Chief Executive Officer of KFSH Dr. Majid bin Ibrahim Alfayyadh joined members of the hospital’s leadership team in donating blood in support of the campaign.

As part of its participation, KFSH has expanded its community outreach by working with several organizations to bring mobile blood donation units directly to their workplaces. Donors can also give blood at KFSH blood banks and the King Fahad National Center for Children’s Cancer, providing more convenient ways to participate while helping maintain a reliable supply of blood and blood components for patients.

A steady blood supply is critical to many medical and surgical procedures. At KFSH, the need is particularly important given the highly complex care provided to patients undergoing cancer treatment, organ transplantation, and major surgery. Many of these patients require blood or specific blood components at different stages of their treatment, making regular donations essential to ensuring timely and uninterrupted care.

KFSH is encouraging members of the community to take part in the campaign and donate at its blood banks from Sunday to Thursday, from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm in Riyadh, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in Jeddah, and from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm in Madinah.

KFSH has been ranked first in the Middle East and Africa and 12th globally among the world’s top 250 academic medical centers for 2026. It was also recognized as the most valuable healthcare brand in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East for 2026, according to Brand Finance, and listed by Newsweek among the World’s Best Hospitals, World’s Best Smart Hospitals, and World’s Best Specialized Hospitals for 2026.
